. WATER FOR THE WORLD .PROJECT    

  Within the next 1o years, almost two billion people on this plane will be living in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity. On Guard for Humanity is committed to delivering safe clean drinking water to people in need every where, be it as a result of natural and other disasters, war, internal armed conflicts, or displacement of people resulting from these events, On Guard for Humanity will be there centre stage working side-by-side with its Group of Volunteers, the UNHCR, and Aid Agencies and  NGOs  to people living in some of the most water-starved regions of the world.

On Guard for Humanity is working hard to contribute to the rehabilitation of natural water resources in developing countries through sound water and land management, education at a local community level including environmental stewardship where every citizen has a role to play for future generations.

   

THE GREATER TORONTO METROPOLITAN AREA (GTA)  ENVIRONOMIC VILLAGE PROJECT  

EnviroNomic Villages are an innovative concept developed by On Guard for Humanity to support green living vocational training and employment, pride of home ownership, a secure family life and a supportive community in an environment  conducive to personal growth.

The flagship EnviroNomic Village being built in the GTA,, will  include a community centre, sports facilities, a day care for pre-school children with working parents, a seniors day-care centre and after-school facility, a gym and sports field.

The model village is expected to attract hundreds of visitors from Canada's major municipalities and developing countries across the globe looking to establish EnviroNomic Villages that contribute to an improved quality of life for the world's most vulnerable populations . Services in the model village will be provided by qualified personnel and student volunteers looking to earn credits towards their post graduate degrees before serving in EnviroNomic Villages in Canada and abroad.

The EnviroNomic Model Village will also be the future home of On Guard for Humanity's Toronto headquarters and a fully equipped Toronto Volunteer & Emergency Deployment Centre that can deploy 24/7 in response to major disasters in Canada and anywhere in the world..  . ..

    

Water for All

17 countries around the world. He is also serving as a World Food Program Ambassador of the UN against Hunger and engaged in field work in rural Kenya and Ethiopia advocating modern farm practices and food security policies. Again, on the invitation of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, he was one of 10 distinguished global leaders tasked to review the operations of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

His Excellency John A. Kufuor is currently Chairman of the Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) Project, a  partnership agreement between UNICEF, the World Bank and the John A. Kufuor Foundation.. His Excellency John A. Kufuor has recently made a special Advocate for neglected water borne diseases. and On Guard for Humanity is honoured to be able to partake in a number of projects with the JAK foundation. 

On Guard for Humanity is a Canadian-based charity that works both domestically and internationally to ensure the long-term sustainability of communities vulnerable to war, natural disasters, poverty and disease. We move beyond Band-Aid solutions and focus instead on empowering local residents and authorities to stabilize their communities through capacity building ,infrastructure development, environmental awareness  preparedness, safety, health and education.

Our projects are designed to foster job creation, affordable housing, and social and economic growth. We pool together the skills, expertise, products and services of partners from around the globe and link them with people in affected communities where they can jointly address the root causes of poverty and disease and turn impoverished neighbourhoods into safe, self-sufficient, thriving communities..

The John A. Kufuor (JAK) .Foundation in Ghana was made a Honorary Member of On Guard for Humanity to pursue a series of humanitarian projects in Africa and elsewhere to deliver safe clean drinking  water, food and medical equipment and humanitarian services to a world in need.

It is the belief of  On Guard for Humanity using Canadian and European cutting-edge technologies  that these epoch-making projects to needy parts of the world as well as support the needs of refugees under the care of the UNHCR and other NGOs throughout the world will go along way to save lives,  improve living conditions and  develop a safe, clean and healthy environment to people everywhere. 

.His Excellency John A. Kufuor the former President of the Republic of Ghana, is widely recognized for his humanitarian work throughout the world, When he left office he was invited to join the elite club of Madrid or former leaders; where he assumed presidency of the Italian development organization, Allianz for Africa working in health and education sectors on the continent. He also succeeded Marti Ahritisari the 2008 Nobel Prize winner for peace and former President of Finland as Chair of the Governing Council of Interpeace, a UN supported but Geneva based alliance organization. for peace operating in    .  .
