A Value-Added Members (VAM) is a non-exclusive “Expert Preferred Vendor; supplier, contractor and/or service provider considered to be an "authority" in their specific area of competence, have a proven track record of sustainable quality, service, performance and delivery that make this class of member a key player in any project undertaken by On Guard for Humanity anywhere in the world.
On Guard for Humanity’s primary criteria for Value-Added Members is to establish a core of specialized suppliers in disaster mitigation and response capabilities including significant companies able to participate in infrastructure and community development projects undertaken by On Guard for Humanity.
Applicants for membership in the On Guard for Humanity’s Value-Added Member (VAM) program must complete a detailed membership application form together with a one-time non-refundable membership fee to cover all costs associated with due-diligence, administration, insurance and set-up. Once a VAM, On Guard for Humanity invites each VAM to participate in a project wherever their technology, products or services are needed and without having to conform to complex international and costly tender processes including potential exposure to abuse from corruption under the applicable laws respecting bribery, corruption and payments to public officials including without limitation the Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act (Canada), and/or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 78dd-1 to 78dd-2. (United States of America) as amended from time to time.
Value-Added Membership is beneficial to all parties involved. The relationships developed through the membership program are crucial to the success of our projects.
It also opens new doors of opportunity for the VAM wanting to establish a presence in a foreign market independently of On Guard for Humanity, or consider partnering with On Guard for Humanity, through Carbon Credit funded Projects, Joint Ventures and/or local licensing and/or manufacturing.
The approach adopted by On Guard for Humanity benefits our donors, recipient communities and their governments and lastly but not least the VAMs themselves.
On Guard for Humanity underwrites all marketing and business development costs that give rise to a project in any given geographic jurisdiction, which means that a VAM does not have to incur the high cost of business development to gain access into a new market.
The Membership Fee is a one-time only membershp fee of $12,500.00 plus applicable taxes.
